Scientific Fab lab at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Belgrade
Dr. Đorđe S. Čantrak was born in 1977. in Belgrade, Serbia. He is Assist. Prof. at the University
of Belgrade (UB), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), Hydraulic Machinery and Energy
Systems Department. He graduated in 2001 and defended his PhD in 2012. god. at the UB FME.
His research focus is on turbulence, turbomachinery, energy systems and efficiency. He studies
turbulent flows using modern experimental techniques. In addition, he is working on introducing
3D printing and CAM technologies in turbomachinery at his Department. He has participated in
a number of scientific projects granted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological
Development Republic of Serbia, as well in several international projects. He has published a
significant number of papers in international and national journals and at conferences. Đorđe has
had research stays at the University of Rostock, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine
Technology (2000), Institute ACRC, Urbana-Champaign (2001), University of Stuttgart,
Institute for Parallel and Distributed Systems (2003), EPFL, Lausanne (2008), University of
Montenegro, FME, Laboratory for turbulent flows (2010), KIT, Institute of Fluid Machinery,
Karlsruhe (2011 & 2012), Stanford University, Center for Turbulence Research and NASA
Ames Laboratory for Fluid Mechanics (2014).
